Meet Mike

Mike attended Northern Illinois University and double majored in (K-12) and (6-12) PE and received an endorsement in Adapted PE. He received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education (K-12) and (6-12) in 1997. He attended a masters program with peers locally through National Louis University where his major was Interdisciplinary Studies Curriculum and Instruction. He received his Master of Education in curriculum and instruction in 2005. Mike enjoys watching sports and movies. He loves all things Chicago, including the Cubs, ‘Hawks and especially the Bears.
Mike specializes in Adapted Physical Education. He has worked in Adapted PE for the duration of 20 plus years teaching. He was active in Special Olympics as both coach and athletic director. He enjoys preparing students for a lifetime of physical activity regardless of ability. He believes PE is important for all students as it teaches healthy lifestyle choices and is a great place to learn how to work with others to accomplish a shared goal. |
